p>The Minecraft Forum is a community-driven forum for Minecraft. It was created on June 16 2009 by a member of the community citricsquid. https://www.irc101.org/ It continues to be operated by the community, with Mojang Studios having no involvement in day-to-day operations (although some Mojang Studios employees have accounts on the forum).

p>In September 2010, Redstone Wire Ltd. was formed[1] to manage the site, and on November 15, 2010, the site was acquired by Curse,[2][3] who operated and owned the site until it was bought by MagicFind? in June 2019. The forum software used was named Cobalt and was developed in-house by Curse.

p>The forum serves as an online platform for the Minecraft community, with game modifications as well as custom maps, servers and resource packs that are all shared. Registration to the site is free and anyone who has or without a Minecraft account is permitted to access the site. Forum administration is overseen by citricsquid and PuyoDead?, as well as the moderators for the forums are comprised of more than 100[4] volunteers.
