- Ensuring our services are secure and safe for both our users and employees through a combination of proactive monitoring and enforcement, real-time response and ensuring data integrity/backups allow recovery from disasters;
- To remove any friction as possible between Automattic developers, and their aim of releasing software. We answer questions in minutes, sometimes seconds.

p>If you are:

p>- Have maintained large Nginx setups with advanced routing configuration, load balancers, reliable performance, and high availability;
Managed large MySQL/MariaDB installations while ensuring unbeatable performance, uptime, and data integrity.
Have previous experience running and debugging PHP applications on a large scale;
Know the relationship of these services with lower level systems stacks including filesystems, network memory management, kernel internals, etc.
Experience in the maintenance and operation of complex web hosting systems that are open to the public.
- Can create, prototype and maintain solutions for host needs and various issues independently
- Pay attention to every little detail and strive to achieve the highest level of operational excellence.
You can travel for 2 weeks following COVID each year to meet up in person with your fellow teammates.
