p>LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) - Technoblade, a top YouTube? creator who was a specialist in Minecraft let's play videos was killed just one year after he announced an illness that was cancerous, according to an announcement from his family. He was 23 years old.

p>In a heartfelt YouTube? video that was posted on Technoblade's channel Thursday, the YouTuber?'s father announced that his son had passed away. His father said, "He was the most amazing kid anyone could ever wish for." "I am so sorry for Technoblade."

p>The video, which was uploaded on Thursday with the title "so long nerds," included a posthumous message from the creator to his fans that was read by his father. "Hello everyone, Technoblade here. Technoblade's message revealed that his real name was Alex. "Thank you all for your support of my content over the years. I believe Technoblade would be my first choice in the event that I had another hundred lives. They were the most joyous years of my life.

p>Technoblade's online store includes a message that says "In the memory of his death and in memory of his family, a portion of orders placed online will go to an amazing charity called curesarcoma.org." This link will take you to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

p>A statement at the end of the video shared Thursday read "We Technoblade's family, the members of Technoblade we wanted you to know how much he adored and respected his fans and colleagues. Since the beginning of Technoblade's online presence, he was constantly figuring out ways to delight and reward his fans. He managed to retain his good-natured humility despite his successes and maintain a charming balance between his confidence level and his self-deprecating wit. We ask that you respect his wishes to keep his identity private and to prevent him from becoming famous.

p>The statement continued, "This year has been challenging for our son as we battled stage four cancer." He never complained and continued to utilize his strategic thinking to overcome what he knew was almost impossible odds. My son's strength in this situation was a shining example to all of us who had the privilege to walk it with him. We are grateful that you were able to share the journey with us as he completed the work that he loved for his beloved fans.

p>According to his father Technoblade recorded his final message to his fans eight hours before his death. "I do not think Technoblade said everything he wanted to say, but I think he got the main points," his father said.

p>Technoblade announced the diagnosis of cancer in August 2021. He said he experienced pain in his right shoulder since the beginning of August. At first, he thought it was due to repetitive stress injuries that result from playing. But after a few days after that, he noticed his shoulder was swelling and thought it was a fractured bone. Then, he was diagnosed with cancer.
