The official announcement states that Minecraft Earth was built around free movement and collaborative play. These are two things that are impossible in today's global climate. "We have made the difficult decision that we will redirect resources to other areas that are of value to the Minecraft community, and that Minecraft Earth support will cease in June 2021."

<p>As a game based around exploring the world, it seems Minecraft Earth didn't fare well in the current covid-19 pandemic that has prevented potential players from playing in public. But, the game won't be running smoothly into that great night. The update today will stop real-money transactions. This makes it easier to play the game and keep your safe inside. Everybody who signs up for Minecraft Earth between now &amp; June 30 will be gifted a set of character creator items.

<p>After June 30, Minecraft players will not be able to download or play Minecraft Earth. Mojang has pledged to all customers who made real-money purchases with a free copy of Minecraft as its way of saying thanks.
